In this session, we will be discussing the use of different communication technologies within the bounds of HIPAA regulations. Our goal is to equip organizations with the necessary knowledge to adapt to possible rule changes in areas such as Accounting of Disclosures, the Notice of Privacy Practices, cell phone communications, and emerging technologies. Additionally, we will examine proposed changes to the Privacy Rule concerning Care Coordination. This session will provide an overview of HIPAA's current state and highlight recent court rulings and guidance affecting HIPAA. We will also explore expected changes to HIPAA rules in the upcoming year and the outcomes of different HIPAA enforcement actions.
