Scania is attending its first IAA since 2018. Of course, the emphasis is on the company's sustainable transportation solutions. In three distinct regions, fourteen different automobiles can be viewed. They are accompanied by a suite of services that constitute the most comprehensive solution in the industry for customers wishing to decrease their carbon footprint while achieving the best overall economy. Scania responds to the climate challenge by providing long-term consumer value through fuel efficiency, electrification, and digital services like the new My Scania customer portal.

"At the IAA, the Scania team demonstrates that our passion for developing sustainable solutions for the transport ecosystem is at an all-time high," says Stefano Fedel, Scania's Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing. "Our dedication to our clients is a significant motivator in delivering cutting-edge, fossil-free solutions based on modularity and digitization that is appropriate for the shift our sector is currently through."

Scania's vehicles on display at the IAA highlight the company's solution-oriented strategy, which blends traditional and digital services. The emphasis is on all vehicles and how they operate. However, it is apparent that connected services are now essential for increasing client profitability:

"What kind of data-driven services our reliable partners and we provide has become increasingly important to the success or failure of businesses in our field. Through the use of data, everything from finance and insurance to preventative maintenance and driver services can be personalized to each customer's specific needs. We've come a long way in helping our consumers realize the benefits of digitalization and electrification."

Scania has always believed that there is no one-size-fits-all answer for the transportation industry in the fight against climate change. Non-fossil fuels such as biomethane and biodiesel, according to Scania, are critical to meeting the company's science-based CO 2 reduction targets.

The booth's primary goal is to showcase Scania's extensive portfolio of digital and linked services and charging solutions. Two new services will be introduced at the IAA: the My Scania customer portal and the Scania Driver app. Both should pave the path for increased customer efficiency and profitability.

"We are continually growing our portfolio with greater diversity and solutions for a wide range of customer requirements based on our modular approach," Fedel explains. "This decade's journey is exciting because it creates more options than ever." Finding your way in unfamiliar territory is difficult for everyone involved. As a leading manufacturer, we owe it to our customers to provide appropriate solutions and the best possible assistance within the framework of partnerships."

Scania has also put up a studio on its display at this year's IAA. The programs are then broadcast online. Scania moderators speak with experts and invited guests about topical subjects like electrification, fossil-free transportation, and sustainable solutions. The goal is to make the most relevant IAA information available to an audience that cannot attend the trade show in person.

Scania will be present at the IAA with fourteen indoor and outdoor vehicles. Scania is displaying four battery-electric trucks at the hall, including the recently released new BEV model for regional freight transport, a BEV bus, and two BEV trucks for urban use. The variety of vehicles on display at the IAA reflects Scania's broad product offering, not just BEVs: eight trucks with internal combustion engines, two of which are V8s, three vehicles with super powertrains (the industry's most fuel-efficient powertrain), and a biomethane truck representing Scania's two new biogas engines.

Scania has five cars on display on the 800 m2 outdoor space. This features a BEV city tipper with the well-known Scania XT qualities, namely toughness, and longevity. A standard XT sister vehicle with a Scania V8, a V8 heavy-duty tractor, and an Irizar coach is also on exhibit. Scania is represented at the IAA test and driving arena by three other vehicles: a Scania Super, a BEV hook loader, and a flexible hybrid truck.
