Filming at night or in low light is particularly challenging. The interaction of exposure time, aperture and ISO  is particularly important here.

Let's start with the exposure time. As you probably know, video recordings consist of several images that are played back quickly one after the other. The exposure time determines how many seconds each of these images is exposed. The so-called frame rate indicates how many images are recorded per second. You can also simply read our article about frame rates when filming! The exposure time for videos is usually indicated by a fraction, for example 1/50. This means that every image created was exposed for a fiftieth of a second.
