The standard version is equipped with an electric motor capable of providing 154 HP and 255 Nm and a battery with a capacity of 48.4 kWh. The most powerful version has 217 HP/255 Nm, and the engine is powered by a battery with a capacity of 65.4 kWh. For this last variant, Hyundai claims that the autonomy is approximately 490 kilometers. This significantly improved over the previous generation, making the new Kona a practical and eco-friendly choice for long journeys.

In addition to its impressive range, the electric version of the new Hyundai Kona also features an i-Pedal function that allows drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and stop using only the accelerator pedal. The Smart Regenerative System is another intelligent feature that adjusts the amount of regenerative braking based on information from the traffic flow ahead.
