Fiat introduced the redesigned 500, which was intended from the bottom up to be an electric vehicle, in mid-2020. The tiny electric car may now be bought in a revised form as the model year 2022. The update includes new equipment details for the series' third generation. The electrical engineering is unaltered.

The Fiat 500 Action, which starts at 26,000 euros, now comes standard with Fiat monogram seat coverings produced from recyclable material. The newest model year of the Fiat 500 also includes a concealed, internal antenna. In addition, an extra USB-C connector on the console between the two front seats allows the current generation of cables to connect and charge smartphones, among other things.

For the 2022 model year, the redesigned Fiat 500 electric car is offered in seven different configurations. The Icon and la Prima equipment variants are available in a two-door sedan with a wide tailgate, convertible, and 3 + 1 body styles with an extra rear door on the passenger side. Both have a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 42 kWh. On the other hand, the entry-level Fiat 500 Action is only available as a sedan; with 70 kW (95 PS), it drives 135 km/h and has a 23.8 kWh battery pack for a WLTP-compliant range of 180 kilometers.

The Fiat 500 electric car can officially travel up to 320 kilometers with its 42 kWh battery. Energy can be stored for a distance of 50 kilometers in about five minutes using rapid charging at up to 85 kW. If you want to charge the car's battery to 80 percent, a 35-minute stop is required. The higher-priced models of the new Fiat 500 attain a peak speed of 150 km/h thanks to a more strong electric engine with 87 kW (118 hp).

According to the Italians, the new Fiat 500 electric car is highly popular. Almost 19,000 customers in Western Europe choose Fiat's first fully electric large-scale model in the first half of 2021. @via Fiat.
