Volkswagen has shown the new Volkswagen Polo GTI, which will be offered with a 207 horsepower engine and a semi-autonomous driving system thanks to the 'IQ.Drive Travel Assist'.

The visually and technically updated iconic design of the sporty compact is characterized by legendary GTI hallmarks, such as the red stripe on the radiator grille or the honeycomb structure of the ventilation grille.

Among other features, the new Volkswagen Polo GTI incorporates as standard the new IQ.Light LED matrix headlights and an illuminated crossbar on the radiator grille complement the daytime running light, bridging the brand's electric ID models and towards the new generation of Golf, Arteon or Tiguan.

The interior of the new 2022 Volkswagen Polo GTI is dictated by the colours black, red and grey. The pillars and headlining are always in black, while the contrasting stitching is in red and adorn, among other elements, the multifunction leather steering wheel.

As in the Polo, its GTI version also has the infotainment frames and systems arranged in a single visual axis, so they can be seen and managed "optimally" from the driver's position. The digital instrument cluster has a 10.25-inch screen.

The new Polo GTI has a 207 horsepower TSI petrol engine, which reaches a maximum speed of 240 kilometres per hour. This mechanism is associated with a seven-speed double-clutch DGS automatic transmission, with which it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 6.5 seconds.

Volkswagen has also highlighted the driving assistance systems that the new Polo GTI has, which are grouped in the 'IQ.Drive Travel Assist' to allow semi-autonomous driving. Thus, the model has adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, emergency braking function in the city or fatigue detection system. @via Volkswagen.
